of a number of drafts. It will be updated constantly as new work is completed.
Why strategic planning
To guide the national HIV/AIDS response.
To promote the growth and development of the multi-sectoral National AIDS Committee and other co-ordination mechanisms for sustainable national response against HIV/AIDS/STI.
To allow government, planners and decision-makers at all levels to participate in concrete strategic interventions.
To reduce and minimize duplication of efforts and maximize the use of appropriate resources.
To facilitate the expansion and development of workplans by all sectors.
To mobilize all players to participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of national plan.

To mitigate the socio-economic and health impact of HIV/AIDS
in the society
To decrease individual vulnerability to HIV infection
